Hey, I'm Mario.

I'm an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who works with young adults, men and adoptees navigating identity, relationships, and a sense of belonging.

Being a man today comes with competing expectations. How do you define the kind of man you want to be when the messages around masculinity often conflict? Are you struggling with friendships, stress, identity, intimacy, or self-esteem?  My goal as your therapist is to be honest with you, challenge you, and help you define what masculinity looks like on your own terms, not the version you were handed.

For adoptees, questions of belonging, identity, family, loss, shame, and guilt can evolve throughout every stage of life. Just when you think you've found some peace, something reminds you—another birthday, another Mother’s/ Father’s day, your partner's family dynamics, or simply going to the doctor. These experiences can stir up old questions in unexpected ways. That's not a setback; it's the nature of the experience. My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are and build insight and confidence in yourself that can carry you through these challenging moments. 

My style is patient, direct, and pragmatic. I pull from solution-focused and psychodynamic approaches, but what matters most to me is that what we do together works in your real life, not just in session. I'll help you spot the patterns you've been too close to see, and then we'll build the tools that work for you to be the person you've always imagined you can be. Insight is the starting point, not the finish line. The goal is action. Real, lasting change that carries you well beyond whatever brought you through the door.
